GRIEF: Fourth Chakra Healing : Grief through the chakras # 22

Hello Beautiful Person!  Welcome back to healing your grief two minutes at a time. This week, we are on our fourth chakra which is our heart chakra and anyone who is grieving would need extra energy for this space in our body. It is located in our heart region and goes all the way to the sides and it is represented by the color green.  All of our experiences from ages 21-28 reside here.  There is certainly a lot of love experience to happen during that time of our life.  Not necessarily romantic relationship, maybe we found true love, but more importantly I hope that you began to find true love for yourself.  This is something that I think so many of us struggle with and that is what this chakra is all about.  It is about self-love as well as it is about learning to love others freely.

When it is imbalanced, we become lonely and needy and we expect other people to fill our void in our life.  I know often times when we are grieving, we find ourselves lashing out at people thinking that they are going to fill this pain and this void that we feel in our heart.  When we can balance that energy, we will start to fill our own void and we start to attract people into our lives that match what we are putting out.  When it is more balanced, it is more free love- just compassion and love and it will let that love flow freely.

We are going to learn some great things this week to add some extra energy to this space.  So throw on your green shirt and…

FOOD:  Grab some of those green veggies, whether you want to eat them or juice them.  Somehow get them into your body.  Greens, greens, greens is what it’s all about this week for food. Juice them, eat them, drink your green tea.  Use basil and thyme in your food.  Just consume lots and lots of green.

ESSENTIAL OILS:  The essential oils for this week are rose and geranium.

SOUND VIBRATION: The Sound vibration… I think this might be my favorite this week, the sound vibration for this area is “YUM” spelled YAM but pronounced YUM because love is yummy when we feel it, it is yummy.  Let’s close our eyes for two minutes or however long you need until you start to feel some peace and love come back into your heart. Close your eyes and it’s, “YUM, YUM YUM” because it is yummy.

SENSE:  The sense for this area is touch. This is a great week to wear your most comfortable pajamas to bed and enjoy feeling that beautiful textile on you.  This is also a great week to get a massage.  Not that you need an excuse to get a massage but if you needed one just tell whoever you need that you are working on your fourth chakra and it’s very important that you get a massage this week.

ELEMENT:  The element for this chakra is air. Open those windows, open that front door and get the air flowing.

FENG SHUI:  Feng Shui for this week is part of the air.  One of the biggest sources of air is our front door. Sweep out the stoop and clean out the mat and do what you can to refresh and revive that front door.

HOMEWORK:  Our exercise for this week is a beautiful meditation and I want you to begin with your hands together sending yourself love. Close your eyes and just send yourself some beautiful love. Then I want you to open your hands just a little bit and send love to your family. Then I want you to open your hands a little bit more and I want you to send love to all of your friends.  Then I want you to open your hands a little bit more and I want you to send love to your neighborhood and to your city.  Then I want you to open your hands a little bit more and I want you to send love to your country.  Then I want you to hold them all the way up and I want you to send love to the whole world. And then because you are a part of that world, I want you to grab all of that beautiful love and put it all right into your heart and give yourself a big hug.

I can not wait to hear how this was for you this week.  Please subscribe to my channel and I hope you have a wonderful and lovely week.  Take care.

GRIEF: HEALING GRIEF 2 MINUTES AT A TIME #21: Solar Plexus healing

Hello Beautiful Person!  Welcome back to healing your grief two minutes at a time.  This week, we are on our third chakra.  That is our solar plexus.  It is located above our belly button and below our heart- kind of behind our stomach. It is represented by the color yellow and all of our experiences from the time we were 15-21 all reside there and I know there are some hearty hearty experiences that happen during that time for all of us that either grew our self-esteem or hurt our self-confidence and that is what this space is all about- it is about personal power, our self-esteem and our confidence. It is the “I am” of who we are and we are going to do some great things this week to help really build that up.  When we have lost someone, sometimes we don’t really know who we are and depending on that relationship, it could have been a big loss for us.  We were probably wrapped up in that person and a lot of who we were was wrapped up in them.

Now, we are claiming that power back this week and we’re going to help give some extra energy to that space so we can start to move on and grow that energy.

FOOD-  Food for the third chakra- includes everything yellow. We’re talking mustard, banana corn, turmeric, sunflower seeds.  It is also grains.  So maybe you cook yourself up  a delicious bowl of quinoa pasta and throw in some delicious yellow vegetables and really nourish that region.

ESSENTIAL OILS- The essential oils for this chakra are frankincense, myrrh and chamomile and they do an amazing job growing our personal power and positive self-image.

SOUND-  The sound vibration for this area is RAM.  We close our eyes for two minutes, or whatever feels great to you, and we say, “RAM, RAM, RAM” really until you start to feel that strength in you or just to feel peace.

ELEMENT & SENSE- The element for this area is fire and the sense is sight. So this would be a great week for you to light a candle and maybe look at that candle and do some affirmations.  I AM…healing one minute at a time.  I AM…getting stronger every day.   I AM…really good at taking care of stuff.  Even though things are really hard and even though I don’t want to get out of bed, I AM doing a great job keeping up with life today. Give yourself some props and some strength and take that candle work and really send some love to yourself. This is not an easy time and I know that you are doing a great job .

FENG SHUI-  Feng Shui encourages crystals for this chakra.  If you have crystals, this might be a great time to clean them. You can do so just by digging a hole in the backyard and putting them in some dirt and just leave.  You’ll remember them when it is time to get them out of the ground. When it is time, you’ll remember them and you can go get them and wash them off.

Finally, our last exercise, is in honor of a very dear, late friend of mine and I want you to remember this slogan, “No BCCW!” It stands for no blaming, no complaining, no comparing, no whining. All any of those things do is turn you into a victim.  So I want you to take 5 minutes, an hour , a day.  I hope you can take the whole week and start to not do any of those things.  If you do those things you start to recognize, “Oh no BCCW!” Because what it will do, it will begin to gain back your personal power.  It will begin to strengthen your self-confidence and your self-esteem. You will begin to own that space again.

I can not wait to hear your comments down below.  Please subscribe to my channel.  I hope you have a fantastic NO BCCW week!  Take Care!

Thank you Flourish Feng Shui some of this great information!

GRIEF: HEALING GRIEF 2 MINUTES AT A TIME #20: Sacral Chakra healing

Hello Beautiful Person! Welcome back to healing your grief two minutes at a time! This week, we are delving into our second chakra and this chakra holds all of our passion and pleasure and intimacy and relationships and connection. It also holds our childhood trauma from years 7-14 and I know all of us have stuff that needs to be healed during all of those formative years. Finally, this area also holds all of our endings and beginnings. As part of the grief journey, we are coming to peace with a relationship that ended so that is like a double-whammy for this chakra. So it is so important that we take time to nourish and do what we can do to help support this area of our body. We can DO many things.

COLOR: First, this area is represented by orange so throw on your orange shirt, orange pajamas, orange jewelry. Rock your orange this week!

FOOD: Food for this area- enjoy all of your sweet foods-cantaloupe, oranges, mangoes, peaches, almonds, cinnamon. Enjoy everything orange that is going to be warming and nourishing for that inner child in us who is working through a lot of things that our adult self is working through too.

ESSENTIAL OILS: Orange blossom and ylang ylang. This area is also represented by our water element so this is a fantastic week to take a bath with our essential oils and really sit there and take some time to reflect not only on the person we are grieving over but also take time to reflect on that inner child and those experiences from 7-14 and maybe you can make some connection. Maybe you can just heal that inner child and what a better time. We are incredibly sensitive when we are grieving and how wonderful to take this time to heal not only this experience but maybe something from our past so when we come through this storm, we are stronger and better than we were then when we entered this. I really believe that is why these experiences come into our life- to strengthen us and make us better and so you can come out even farther than when you entered this whole experience.

SOUND: The sound for this chakra is VAM. Again, we close our eyes for two minutes or however many minutes feels comfortable for you and you say,”VAM, VAM, VAM” and that frequency will begin to build some energy in our second chakra.

SENSE: The sense for this area is our sense of taste. So, again, sweet fruits and honey and everything that is nourishing and delicious for that child within.

YOGA: Finally our yoga pose for this week. We have two. Since it is a water element, the sun salutation and the fluid movement in between each are really helpful as well as child’s pose. It not only opens our pelvic region but it also takes care of that child and really that is what this week is all about is taking care of that child within and helping us learn to reconnect with those relationships in our lives.

You get a bonus this week!!!

Two inches below our belly button, if you can picture kind of what would look like a bouncy ball of energy is located two inches below and it’s called your Dantian. So stand up and put your feet shoulder width apart, facing forward and sit down a little bit like your in a chair half way. I want you to create a basket with your hands, palms facing you and stand there for as long as you can with a straight back. Start with two minutes, work yourself up to 15 minutes and as you stand there you’ll begin to feel the energy collect within your basket. And when you can stand no more, I want you to grab all that energy and I want you to hug it into your sacral area and rub it into your dantian and, over time, you’ll begin to feel stronger in that area. You will begin to feel more connected in your relationships and you will feel that inner child beginning to feel so healed and so happy. I can not wait to hear your comments down below. Please subscribe to my channel and have a wonderful week. Take care.

GRIEF: HEALING GRIEF 2 MINUTES AT A TIME #19: Healing your Root Chakra

Hello Beautiful Person!  Welcome back to healing your grief two minutes at a time. This week, we are embarking on a seven week series:  Healing our grief through the chakras. Our chakras are energy centers that run from the base of our spine to the crown of our head. So we are going to go in depth, each week, on a multitude of tools that you can use to heal that energy center during this time of grief.  We are going to start with our first chakra- which is the root chakra- and that is located at the base of spine and in that chakra are the concerns of all of our basic concerns of life- security, housing, if we are going to be able to pay the bills- all of our survival needs.  The color associated with that chakra is red.  You can wear red, wear a red shirt, You can wear red socks, wear red jewelry, sleep in red.  Do as much as you can if you are finding that you are feeling those fears, and of course, I think anyone losing anyone, there’s a fear of your own safety.  It really brings about the impermanence of life for us and that is a really hard process for us to move through.  Depending on the loss that you’ve encountered, it could be a fear of how you’re going to pay your bills or where you’re going to live.  If you find yourself feeling these fears, throw on a red shirt, throw on some red socks.  See if that helps.  You can also take your socks off if you don’t have red socks and walk bare-footed in your house or, even better, outside in dirt and really try to ground yourself to the Earth and ground yourself to know that everything really is going to be ok.

FOOD: Food for the week: Anything that is grown in the ground.  What we are trying to do with our root chakra is to really ground ourselves.  So anything grown in the ground which would be: potatoes or parsnips, garlic or sweet potatoes- anything that’s got that dirt you gotta wash off of it- that’s the food for you this week. In addition to that, anything red- cherries, tomatoes, bell peppers- anything that is red, as well, really invigorates that energy and will just help you feel a little more secure.

ESSENTIAL OILS:  We are going to talk, in a few more weeks, in depth about essential oils but they can be incredibly helpful  if you diffuse them or if you take a bath in them.  Lavender is very helpful, chamomile is very helpful and rose is very helpful with your grounding process.

SOUND: A mantra for this energy center is LAM. So your root chakra mantra is LAM. If you want to sit there for two minutes and just be quiet and close  your eyes and say,”  LAM, LAM, LAM” It will really begin to invigorate and ground that energy center.

FENG SHUI FOR THE ROOT CHAKRA: This is my favorite, I think. Check all of your locks. Make sure that all of your windows are working and functional and lock as well as your front door, back door.  Make all of those locks functional.  Part of it is safety and fear.  So let’s take a moment to eradicate that fear.  Get rid of any old food you have in the house.  Freshen it up.  Bring in that good energy and provide for your survival. Great food is going to make you feel better, feed you better and strengthen you.

FIVE SENSES: The sense that is associated with the root chakra is your smell sense. So choose a candle or essential oil or any sort of aroma that feels woodsy.  Cedarwood is a great example of this.  Burn your favorite candle, or incense, or essential oil.

YOGA: Finally, if you want to do some yoga for your root chakra, do the tree pose.  Ground yourself into the ground.  Be the tree that you are.   You are not going to fall over.  You may sway in the wind but you are strong and will move through this grief and it will be ok.

So enjoy your red this week. I can not wait to hear the comments down below.  Subscribe to my channel and I hope you have a wonderful week.  Take Care.

GRIEF: HEALING GRIEF 2 MINUTES AT A TIME #18: Get your power back!

Hello Beautiful Person!  Welcome back to healing your grief two minutes at a time. This week is not going to be so fluffy but it is when we get to the tough stuff that, I think, the best healing happens.  So, I just finished this amazing book.  It’s kind of an older book but it is called Seat of the Soul by Gary Zukav and I think I will continue to quote him for a very long time. One of the lessons that he talks about that I wanted to share this week was about your power.  When we are grieving, we have already felt like we have lost our power.  Somebody that we really loved has just been taken away from us and we’re pretty upset about that and it is a really hard process to feel like we are in control or that we have power over anything in our lives. One of the challenges that we have in that is that when we start to look to other people to heal our heart and we look for them to say the right thing or do the right thing.  Ultimately, they are not going to live up to our expectation and they are not going to heal what needs to be healed because grief is an inward job.

The lesson from the book was:

When you hold someone else responsible for your own experiences,

you lose power.

As grievers, and people who are grieving have already lost enough power. This week,  I want you to give yourself the gift of your power.  I want you to try and be grateful for anyone that calls or anyone that does anything for you.  Be grateful and thankful in whatever capacity it came in.  Chances are, it didn’t come in the right way  but when you place that judgment or that complaint upon their experience , you’ve handed over your power. So this week, give yourself the gift of your power and I can not wait to hear down in the comments below how powerful you are  and what you were doing to make that happen.

Please subscribe to my channel and I hope you have a wonderful week. Take care!

GRIEF: HEALING GRIEF 2 MINUTES AT A TIME #17: Self-care

Hello Beautiful Person! Welcome back to Healing your grief two minutes at a time. This week, I want to talk to you about the importance, importance, importance of self-care. I’m not talking about exercise, you know when you are grieving they say go on a walk with a friend or go exercise.  For many people, myself included, that was the farthest thing from my mind and the last thing I wanted to do was to go exercise and go push myself farther than I could because it felt like every day was a push, really.

This type of self care, I am talking about paid professionals taking care of you.  That’s right, and with the fourth of July weekend upon us you will actually have an extra day to make that happen this weekend.  I am talking acupuncture, of course.  I’m a big fan of the acupuncture, but massage, or a manicure, pedicure or meeting with a life coach or a therapist- someone that will help raise your energy and who will help give you back some energy so you can feel supported.  Grief just takes a lot out of us and we’re exhausted and that is totally normal.  So give yourself the gift of self-care and surround yourself with the people who know how to do that best.

If money is an issue, there are smaller massage places, there are Thai massage places that are relatively inexpensive that are really great. Just check your Yelp listing and find a highly starred one. Or massage schools or trade with another grieving buddy. There are lots of ways to get that energy moving and to feel that love given to you.  It is amazing what human contact and support can do for our grieving hearts. Three day weekend.  Get on your self-care.  I can not wait to hear down in the comments below what kind of self-care you took advantage of this weekend. Subscribe to my channel and have a wonderful week.  Take care.
